This is your green light to go maroon and white!

Through the generosity of several constituents who believe in supporting Christian education by making it more affordable for families in the community, Holland Christian has been positioned to provide a new affordability grant, the “Go Ahead Grant,” beginning with the 22-23 school year! This new grant is available for both current and new families, providing significant tuition assistance for our community! The Go Ahead Grant is available to full-time K-12 students, and will assist as follows: $1,000 grants for the first child in K-5th grade, and prorated for additional children based on the multiple-child discount tuition schedule, and similarly applied $300 grants for students in 6th-12th grades. Here are examples for families with elementary children:

For an expanded list of examples, including Middle and High School students, see our Tuition & Fees page.

The name of the grant was chosen with the idea that in the Old Testament Biblical world, an armor-bearer was someone who lightened the weighty load of a soldier by carrying all that needed to be carried. In 1 Samuel 14, Jonathan pitches a somewhat crazy and bold plan to his armor bearer, commenting that “Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf.” Jonathan’s armor bearer instantly tells Jonathan in verse 7 to “Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul!”–a beautiful impulse that we believe captures the spirit behind this gift of helping to carry the load of tuition, offering both encouragement and relief.
