February @ HCS

Welcome to February at Holland Christian Schools! Our 24-25 enrollment opens on February 1, so it would be amazing if you can help spread the word to friends, neighbors, and relatives–we would love for them to apply to Holland Christian Schools! As much as we are enjoying this current school year, it’s always joyous to anticipate next school year as well!

Important parent dates for February:

  • Friday, February 16: No school/Professional development
  • Monday, February 20: No school/Professional development
  • Thursday, February 29, 5:30-8:30pm: Parent/Teacher Conferences @ HCMS
  • Thursday, February 23, 3:30-6:30pm: Parent/Teacher Conferences @ HCHS

The Arts @ HCS

  • Tuesday, February 21 @ 7pm: HCHS’s state winning MIFA (Michigan Interscholastic Forensic Association) team puts on its Home Benefit Performance at HCHS’s Auditorium, performing the one-act competition performance of the comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. You can read more about what is MIFA  here, as well as on the Theatre page. Tickets are usually a $5 donation at the door–a great deal for an amazing student performance!
  • Monday, February 12: Tickets for the March 15 & 16 Living Hope Showcase, “Songs from Stage & Screen” go on sale on our choir page.
  • Sunday, February 11, 10am: Living Hope Choir @ Holland Heights CRC
  • Sunday, February 25, 5pm: Living Hope Choir @ Central Ave CRC

Athletics

Basketball continues this month, with more fun home games on the horizon as you can see from the schedules linked below. If you haven’t had a chance to catch a Unified basketball game in action, they play against Holland Public at the Civic Center this week Friday, February 2 at 4:30pm, and at Grand Rapids Christian next week Friday, February 9, at 7pm–besides multiple other games on the schedule! And if you want to watch an HC athletic event from the comfort of your own couch, thanks to our student camera people–even though we’d love to see you in person–you can tune in through HC Live’s schedule also linked below.
