Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe that the 2021-22 school year has come to a close! Please join me in congratulating the graduating class of 2022. This class of 152 seniors celebrated their graduation on May 24. We pray that God covers them with His grace as they leave us to do whatever they are being called to do, both in the near future as well as for the rest of their lives.

We have some staff members that will also be moving on to new life callings. We say goodbye and thank you to Isaac DeBoer, Heidi Nykamp, Maddie Reid, Jamie Slenk, Heather Swierenga and Sara Sanchez-Timmer, as well as Mark Hiskes who will be retiring after almost 32 years of service to Holland Christian!!!! We can not thank them enough for the love, time and support that they have given to our students over their time at HC! We are confident that God will bless them greatly as they move on to the next chapter in their lives.

I have also arrived at the point in my life where I need to scale back and be more available to support aging parents and the needs of my daughter Leslie. I want you to know how much I will miss the Holland Christian students, families and staff. You have had a huge impact on my life. It has truly been a blessing for me to serve in this place. Thank you for partnering with us as we walk the path of Christian education together. I am very excited to let you know that Miles Colago will be the person serving as the next principal of HCHS. Miles brings many experiences, talents and skills to the position, but for me the most important is his heart for God and a Christ centered focus to everything he does. I believe that God will use Miles in mighty ways to continue the work He has planned for Holland Christian.

Deb Feenstra

Dear Parents,

I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to serve the Holland Christian community as the next high school principal. It is an honor to be able to walk alongside each of you towards producing resilient followers of Jesus with equipped minds and nurtured hearts who will transform the world for Jesus.

This past Memorial Day weekend, my wife, two kids, and I just moved into our new home a mile from Holland Christian High School, and already we’ve been welcomed with open arms by neighbors and other Holland Christian families. We have been overwhelmed by the generous hospitality displayed to us.

Since this past April, I’ve had the unique opportunity as an incoming principal to visit with and get to know my future colleagues, students, parents, and board members, and, with each passing day, I’ve grown more and more thankful for the gift of joining such an enduring Christ-centered community.

During this time, I have also witnessed how strong of a leader this school has had in Mrs. Feenstra through the way she has intimately shepherded the faculty, staff, students, and parents. These last few years have been the most difficult for many schools, yet her dedication to these people and her resilient leadership have launched this community forward to fulfill amazing things in the Kingdom of God no matter the circumstance. I will be forever grateful for the work she has done here.

With great excitement, I look forward to partnering with you in developing another generation of faithful disciples of Jesus who will be agents of renewal in a world greatly in need of it. I count it a privilege to join you in this square inch of the Garden.

Miles Colago

In His Service,

Deb and Miles

/ General Information

How to get your 21-22 grades online after June 10

  • Log in to PowerSchool as either parent or student.
  • Click on the “Grades History” icon on the left.
  • Grades for the current school year will be listed

The columns for 2nd semester are: A2 (18 weeks of coursework), E2 (2nd semester exam), and S2 (2nd semester final grade–this is the important one that appears on transcripts and determines cumulative GPA).

If you receive a grade of “CR” in a course, it means you received credit but it won’t count in your GPA.

Diplomas and Transcripts for Class of 2022

Graduates, please remember to pick up diplomas in the high school office during the week of June 13 – 17. Diplomas can be picked up any time between 8am and 3pm. Diplomas will not be mailed.
