Happy new year Pine Ridge family! 2022 was a great year of growth and learning. I am excited to see all that God has planned for us in 2023. Our family does a new years devotional and it reminded me that what happens in this coming year is not left to chance. God is in charge, and he promises to stay close: “The LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” I find comfort that he has our lives and our work here at Pine Ridge in his hands. God has shown his provision in big and small ways during this school year. As I have walked these halls I have been encouraged as I hear devotionals in classrooms centered around God’s provision and goodness. He has provided found shoes, mittens, favorite stuffed animals and even friends. He has provided healing, safe travel and wonderful family memories. THANK YOU GOD for all you provide. May this new year bring us many more reasons to lean on our provider, father, healer and friend. Happy 2023!!

Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons will be happening in January and February for 3rd and 4th graders this year! These lessons are provided at the Holland Aquatic Center and will take place the following dates:
- DeZwaan and Ream: January 16-27
- Hirdes/Riemersma, Meyering, Boer and Slenk: February 13-February 24.
Positive Options
Our Positive Options baby and maternity drive was a success again! Our students brought in over ____ items to bless the families that use Positive Options services. THANK YOU for helping us share the resources we have with families who need some extra help; this is always such a great lesson and reminder for our student body and staff.

The Parent Board would like to thank you for your help staffing classroom lunch hours and recess duty so teachers and staff could take some time together for lunch to celebrate Christmas.

Discovery Night
Do you or any of your friends or extended family have a prospective preschooler or kindergartener? Are you looking into options for the 2023-2024 school year? We’ll be having our Discovery Nights on January 10, 12, and 18 from 6-7pm, and we’d love to have you explore South Side and Rose Park’s preschool and kindergarten programs AND our Forest School kindergarten program! Since we prepare individually for each family visiting this Discovery Night, an RSVP for the Discovery Night linked here is required. We are also doing Forest School tours January 20th for anyone interested. Please RSVP here for spot on the tour!
If you are unable to make it to Discovery Night, you are still welcome to visit Holland Christian Schools in person and see things in action for yourself. Maroons Lacrosse
The Club Lacrosse Teams are for students interested in learning the exciting game of lacrosse! The game is played in an age-appropriate way on a smaller field with fewer players at a time. The fundamentals of stick handling, passing, shooting and defense are taught in a fun, engaging and Christ-centered way. Pine Ridge Carpool Line
When you’re first in line, pull all the way up to the bike racks please! Please also remember to enter/exit off of Graafschap and no stopping in the circle as it is part of the bus lane too! These are Michigan laws regarding buses, so THANK YOU for helping us follow them and for making our pickup and drop offs run smoothly.
