One of my very favorite songs of this season. It reminds me of the true reason for Christmas, JESUS! I am always filled with a renewed hope about the coming calendar year and it refreshes my soul to think of such a holy night more than 2,000 years ago. As we go about this busy season of celebrating, may we not forget the words of this song and the hope that we have our SAVIOR. The one who came as a baby, grew in stature and wisdom, then sacrificed himself on a cross to save us. I pray that this season brings you closer to that savior and that you take time to experience the joy of this CHRISTmas season.

Scholastic Book Fair
Thank you for shopping and having your student(s) shop our Scholastic Book Fair. We were able to raise over $2,200 for books for our library and South Side’s.

Looking for the perfect HC gear for Christmas? Come shop the Maroon and White Shop right here at Pine Ridge on December 8! The shop will be open from 2-4:30pm
Christmas Spirit Week
To get into the spirit of Christmas, we are going to have some fun, themed days our last week of school before Christmas Break, December 12-16. Here’s what we (along with South Side & Forest School) have planned:
- 12/12 Monday: Christmas Socks
- 12/13 Tuesday: Christmas Sweater
- 12/14 Wednesday: Red/Green Day
- 12/15 Thursday: Christmas Headgear (antlers, hats)
- 12/16 Friday: Christmas PJs
Positive Options
Our Positive Options baby and maternity drive is still going strong! Items will be collect through December 7th. Please have all items in by this time so we can get them boxed up and brought over to Lakeshore Pregnancy Center to bless the families over there. Just a reminder that this is in lieu of classroom gift exchanges.

Christmas Luncheon for Staff
On December 14, staff will have the opportunity to gather together for a Christmas Luncheon. In order for this to happen, we would love some volunteers. Pine Ridge is in need of parents to provide lunch coverage during this time. If you would be willing to help out in your child’s classroom fill out the Pine Ridge Christmas Lunch Signup. If you’re willing to bundle up and cover recess duty, please fill out the South Side & Pine Ridge Christmas Recess Signup reserve your spot for South Side or Pine Ridge. Thank you for your help in making this special time work for our staff!
Little Maroons Basketball
Little Maroons is a Holland Christian winter basketball opportunity for kindergarten-6th graders to develop in both skill and game play. Grades 5-6 have three clinics before Christmas to prepare for their local 5-6 league run through City of Holland Recreation. Register through Active for the Holland Christian sessions and clinics.
Pine Ridge Carpool Line
When you’re first in line, pull all the way up to the bike racks please! Please also remember to enter/exit off of Graafschap and no stopping in the circle as it is part of the bus lane too! These are Michigan laws regarding buses, so THANK YOU for helping us follow them and for making our pickup and drop offs run smoothly.
