Spring is in the air. It is so much fun seeing everything come back to life… there is more sunshine, warmer temperatures, things are starting to blossom… I just LOVE spring. What an amazing Creator we serve who has designed such beautiful intricacies that each have a very specific purpose, but also are incredibly beautiful for us to enjoy.
I hope that you all enjoy some time with your family as we take a break from school for a bit for some fun and rejuvenation. When we come back to school, we will have so many different and fun activities to do between then and the end of the school year.
We also continue to sing praise to God for the health that we have all had this year and how we have been enjoying being back together face to face with much more consistency.

Announcements
Thank You
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedules to meet with teachers for conferences. What a wonderful time of celebrating all the growth that has already happened this year!
Also, many thanks to the Parent Board and parents who signed up to provide meals for teachers during conferences. The meals were delicious, and the teachers enjoyed gathering around the table together without having to worry about packing extra meals in the midst of a busy week. Your generosity is SO appreciated!
Lost & Found
There is a significant amount of items in Lost & Found that are on display on a table outside the office. Please make every effort to check it out by Friday, April 15th. After that, items will be donated to Ditto.
Join the Parent Team
Parent Board is looking ahead to next year! Would you like to be part of our team? Help us plan/execute Walkathon, show teachers our appreciation throughout the year, and plan some fun events! Please contact Kelli Kruithof- kellikruithof@gmail.com if you’d like to hear more.
Spring Program
Preschool-5th grade students from all of our Holland Christian elementary campuses will be blessing us with their voices raised in worship through a spring program on Thursday, April 21 at 7 pm at Central Wesleyan Church. More details will come home from your child’s teacher as we get closer to this special event. We are so excited to be able to get back together face to face for this time of worship!
Grandparents & Grandfriends Day
We are super excited to be able to welcome grandparents back into our building for Grandparents & Grandfriends Day! They are invited to visit South Side K-2nd grade classrooms on Friday, April 22 from 8:30-9:30 am. Then they will be able to head over to Pine Ridge from 10:00-11:00 am on that same morning.
If you have a Preschooler at South Side, Grandparents & Grandfriends Day will be Thursday, April 21 from 9:30-10:30 am. We can’t wait to do fun activities with our grandparents, and show them our learning spaces!
Tulip Time
1st and 2nd grade families: Tulip Time will be here before we know it! If you did not fill out our Quick 3 Question Tulip Time Survey regarding what apparel your child will be wearing for the parade, please respond ASAP! You received an email from Mrs. Ritsema last week regarding this survey. This information is helpful as we get our props ready to go!
If you are choosing to be in the “Dutch Heritage” section, remember that you’ll need to wear a Dutch costume. The Tulip Time office is holding a Dutch Costume Resale on Wednesday, April 20. (This is replacing the Holland Area Newcomers sale that used to happen in the past). You can find more information on their website HERE.
Wednesday, May 11 will be a half day for all students with dismissal at 11:30 am. On Thursday, May 12, school will be dismissed for kindergarteners at 11:30 am. All kindergarten students will need to do carpool that day, as all buses are being used for getting students to the parade. 1st and 2nd graders will remain at school, eat a sack lunch from home, have recess, change into their apparel (if they choose not to wear it to school that day), and be bused to the parade route. More information will come as we get closer to the parade.
Moms In Prayer
Moms In Prayer meets on Fridays 8:30-9:30 am at Providence Church. Meet with other moms and pray over our students, teachers and staff. If you have any questions, please email Nicole Shook.
