Summer Strength & Conditioning

High School & Middle School Summer Conditioning is for all athletes interested in any sport at Holland Christian beginning Thursday, June 9. Workouts are designed for female and male athletes who have never done any conditioning before to athletes who already enjoy working out daily. It is designed to prepare all athletes to be ready to compete and reduce their risk of injury in their sport. Sessions will include a warm up, strength building, speed/agility and cool down. (Athletes in sports like cross country can skip the speed/agility training to focus on their aerobic training with their team or on their own.) Every individual signed up will receive a “Pay the Price” shirt celebrating their commitment to the program!

There will be no sessions July 4, 5, 7 & 8 during our MHSAA summer dead week.

The first step is to register through Holland Christian’s camps registration, which is linked.

Incoming HS Students register for “9-12 Pay the Price Summer Strength & Conditioning”

Incoming 7th and 8th grade Students register for “7-8 Strength & Conditioning”

After completing this registration, 7th and 8th graders are all set for Tuesday/Thursday afternoons from 4:15-5:30pm.  High school athletes are offered 1 of 4 sessions to sign up for at least 24 hours in advance through signup genius:

6:00-7:30 AM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)
7:30-9:00 AM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)
9:00-10:30 AM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)
5:30-7:00 PM (Tuesday & Thursday)

Each session is limited to a max of 30 high school students who can sign up for 1 session on each day. Mondays and Thursdays will focus on lower body. Tuesdays and Fridays will focus on upper body. Athletes should plan on at least 1 lower body and at least 1 upper body session each week, but the best results will be achieved if athletes can attend all 4 available sessions each week.
