I graduated from George Fox University in 2016 with a degree in Studio Art. In 2023, I added on my Masters in Art Education. In my early teaching years (2021-2022), I was a substitute for Zeeland Public Schools and Zeeland Christian Middle School. Holland Christian has always been woven into my story. From my mom being the elementary art teacher at HC long ago, to being married to a Holland Christian alum, I love the HCS and Holland community. Growing up, we always had art supplies around the house. Drawing has always been my first love. I would draw on the church bulletins and hope to share that same love of creating and making with students. Growing up, I always found comfort in Psalm 139: 14 that declares, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” I hope to reflect that each student is made in the image of God and is fully known by the Great Creator.
