Partnership. You’ll hear that word a lot in the descriptions of our educational approach at Holland Christian Schools.

After looking through our website, you’ll get a good idea of our part in the relationship, but we’d like to make sure that you understand the key components of your role as well. There are a few items listed below that will help us both better help your children.

Enrollment Criteria

First off, it’s important to share the core beliefs that drive all we do at HC. For that reason, your partnership with Holland Christian Schools needs at least one parent or guardian to love the Lord deeply and live in relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Secondly, your faith and commitment need to stay strong, healthy, and growing over the years. That happens in a church community which believes the Bible is the inspired word of God, so it’s the basis for all life and learning. To work together well with HCS, you should belong to a church like that or attend regularly.

When you come to meet us, we’ll make sure we spell out everything we’re about, but we don’t want your child’s educational experience at Holland Christian Schools to be one-sided. It matters to us that you’re on board with our mission and philosophy of education too and willing to champion those beliefs for your son or daughter.

No matter how hard we work, we need help! So please pray for us. Think about assisting in the classroom or at an event if you’re able. And help us keep Holland Christian affordable for everyone else by meeting your financial obligations to the school.

This is a place of discovery, and we would like both you and your child to be excited about the adventure to come. Often the learning will stretch your child, but if she perseveres, you can count on us to do all we can to give her the tools she needs to unleash her passions.

And finally, we’re a community, a family. Being part of a group like that requires everyone to work well together, even when it’s tough, so we want to see all of our students behaving in a way that shows care and respect for others and themselves.

After You Apply

  • Once you have successfully filled out your child’s application, our Admissions team will review it, and then reach out via email or phone. Our review process typically takes about a week, though in February when our application first opens, it may take slightly longer.
  • Our goal is to provide you a financial path that best fit the needs of your family. After we have confirmed your enrollment, our Tuition Manager will contact you with all the affordability information you need, including: tuition information, payment options, and financial aid programs and directions for applying for these programs.
  • Then look forward to hearing from your school with your classroom and teacher assignments typically in mid-August. Depending on which school building and grades you are planning to attend, we typically offer summer opportunities such as “Popsicles on the Playground” to visit the playground of your school campus and meet a few teachers and fellow students. Look for information on those “meet and greet” opportunities coming to your in-boxes!

Start your application today!

We’re thrilled you’re ready to join us! The first “Apply Today” button below will lead you into a PowerSchool application, where you will first need to create an account for your child. One note on this regular application: PLEASE make sure to save your application before exiting the page by clicking the circular button with your initials on the top right of the PowerSchool screen. Then click “Save & Sign Out” from the drop down menu that appears. This will allow you to return to your saved application at a later time.

As part of the application you’ll also be asked to answer a couple longer essay-style questions. You can sample the application essay questions ahead of time to help you prepare before you begin the application process.

Once we receive your completed application, if you’re enrolling for the first time, we’ll schedule an orientation meeting for you—an opportunity to meet your principal and discuss further what we believe, how we teach, and what it looks like to be part of the Holland Christian family.
