I live in Holland with my husband, two wonderful children and our cat. I graduated from Hope College, majoring in Spanish and education and minoring in English and philosophy. I received my M.A. in Spanish Literature & Linguistics from Western Michigan University and went on to teach middle and high school Spanish full time for 20 years. I am deeply thankful that God lead me to Rose Park in 2021, where I serve as a part time assistant in the Spanish Immersion program. It is a joy to be in a place where my faith can be woven into my work and I can share God's love with children.

Outside of work, my hobbies are reading, writing, gardening and cooking (but no baking!). With my family, I love traveling, playing games, boating and hiking.
