I grew up in Holland, attended Holland Christian, and graduated with a bachelors degree in elementary education from Calvin College. For several years I taught 5th grade at Knapp Charter Academy, as well as middle school writing. For several years I enjoyed staying home with our children, but am thrilled to be back teaching writing to HC(2) students. I love to foster a caring and encouraging classroom where each student is celebrated for their unique interests and gifts, and a place where we work together to build our skills to serve God and each other in His world. Outside of school I enjoy reading, and spending time with my family. We love to bike, hike, and explore new places and pieces of God’s creation!
