I graduated from Hope College in 1985. Since then, I have taught in Spain for three years as a missionary teacher and then for Holland Public Schools for 27 years. I have taught English and Spanish in elementary classrooms and English to students new to the United States. My husband, Jordi, is from Barcelona, and we have had the privilege of spending summers there with our family for the last 25 years. We have three children. Two graduated from Holland Christian and one from Interlochen Arts Academy. I hope that my students see Jesus in me and come to love the Spanish language and culture as much as I do. Being bilingual is a skill I am thankful to have, and I consider it a blessing to pass it on to my students.
