After receiving my PhD in English from the University of Michigan, I volunteered in churches and Bible Study Fellowship. My husband, Tim, and I moved several times, from Minnesota, to Washington, to Michigan, to Illinois, and finally back to Michigan. We have four children; our oldest children have already graduated from HC, and they were blessed with teachers who saw them as individuals and helped them recognize and pursue their God-given gifts and callings. I work to get to know each student as an individual, recognizing how God created them with a unique personality and calling. My mission as a teacher is to inspire a vibrant God-honoring classroom community that helps each student thrive, learn, and grow as a Christ-follower.
