I am so grateful to be a teacher at Holland Christian Middle School. I grew up in Auburn, Indiana and moved to West Michigan when I started my studies in Calvin University's education program. Since graduation in 2018, I've had opportunities to teach in several buildings and content areas. My goal as a teacher is to be a supportive advocate while challenging students to grow holistically. I am blessed to be a part of the HCS family and to share my faith and passion for learning in the classroom. My husband, Ken, and I live in Holland with our cats. When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, reading, and cooking. I also love learning more about our world through travel so that I can practice and then model for students what it looks like to uphold the dignity of all people as image-bearers of God.
