I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a B.A. in Special Education & Psychology and a minor in general education. I began my teaching career at West Ottawa Public Schools for the Mild Cognitively Impaired students in 3rd-5th grades. In 2011 I accepted a job at Holland Christian Schools in the Homeschool Connection which led me to teaching full time for Holland Christian Schools; first as a third grade teacher and now as the Educational Support Services teacher.

One of my favorite verses that I pray over my class is from Zephaniah 3:17 which states, “The Lord our God is with you, He is mighty to save. The Lord our God will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
