I grew up in Minnesota and attended Calvin College, where I earned a B.A. in English and education and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. Having had the privilege of serving schools in the Dominican Republic and in West Michigan as a teacher and administrator, I am passionate about producing resilient followers of Jesus who are equipped to serve God and their neighbors in His Kingdom. Holland Christian Schools has a distinguished legacy in its focus on discipleship, and I'm thankful to serve this community and its mission. My wife and I love raising our four children and enjoy jogging, soccer, reading, hiking, sunsets, and, now, novice-farming.
