I graduated from Holland Christian High School in 2015 and then attended Calvin University, graduating with honors with majors in History and Social Studies and a minor in African Diaspora Studies. In addition to teaching, I serve on the Diversity Council and lead the Student Diversity Council. My husband, Evan, and I live downtown Holland with our daughter and foster daughter. You can mostly find us at the beach. History and high schoolers are two of my favorite things. My hope is that, through studying the past, my students will develop a deeper understanding of today’s world, grow in the assurance that God is the author of all stories, including theirs, and be compelled to act as Christ’s agents of renewal wherever they end up.
