I graduated from Calvin College in 2000 and then moved to Southern California, where I taught at Ontario Christian High School in Ontario, California; John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California; and earned a Master’s of Professional Writing at USC. In 2006, I accepted a position at HC and have had the privilege of teaching English, film, and chemistry classes; I also serve as the Winterim Internship Director. My wife, Sarah, and I have two daughters, Kate and Elia. Through my teaching, I aim to help my students better see that Jesus calls us to the most exciting of all possible lifestyles. And that deep joy is found in using our gifts – whether they be in writing, art, the sciences, or business – to be agents of change for Christ.
