I am excited to be joining the Holland Christian community as a 5th Grade Spanish Immersion teacher. I earned my BA from WMU, a master's degree in early childhood education from GVSU, and an English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement from Cornerstone University. I have more than 30 years of experience in education, serving in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, English Language Learner teacher, interventionist, and student teacher supervisor for Hope College. I love helping students grow academically while building confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. My husband and I have two wonderful adult daughters. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, pickleball, running, and biking. I also love spending time with family and friends and being active outdoors whenever I can. I am especially excited to be teaching at Holland Christian because of its commitment to nurturing the whole child through excellent academics and a Christ-centered education. Having worked as an interventionist at Holland Christian last year, I experienced firsthand the caring, supportive community and the genuine investment that teachers, staff, and families have in each student. It is a joy to be back, and I look forward to partnering with families to help students grow academically, socially, and spiritually throughout the year
