When we read the teachings of our favorite teacher, Jesus, we see a technique very familiar to Forest School: Jesus walked beside his disciples on dusty roads, near water, under open sky. Together they explored life as Jesus told stories and illustrated the grace and love of the Father.
It is slow.
It is embodied.
It is relational.
Our Forest School teachers give their whole heart to loving students, guiding them and developing their gifts. Discipleship involves learning to live like Jesus. Our children are learning to love God, to love others and to love themselves. Thank you for your prayerful, patient support of our class communities and staff.
All warmth and joy,
Miska

Announcements
We’re Growing Up (well…younger 😉
Holland Christian will be launching a Young 5s program within our Forest School (K-2nd) beginning in the 2026–27 school year. This new program will be housed at our newly acquired property, affectionately named “Cedar Creek.”
The desire for nature-immersed Young 5s learning opportunities have been expressed within our community–including both parents and the ODC. We are grateful to be in a position to help meet this need and expand our program offerings!
Starting qualifications:
-
Student must be 5 years of age by December 1, 2026
-
Priority admission will be given to students seeking a 5-day program offering
If you have an eligible Young 5s student and are interested in the program, please contact HC’s Admissions Coordinator Kristin Coffman for next steps.
All new students to Holland Christian Schools may APPLY NOW for the 2026-27 school year! The Forest School Young 5s program option is now available on the application.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm as we grow in new and exciting ways. We can’t wait to see how Cedar Creek becomes a joyful place of wonder and discovery for the students of HC.
