The Education Foundation

The Foundation’s mission is to keep Christian education affordable, and to achieve that goal, the Foundation must grow. And to grow, it needs your gift. A larger Foundation principle means a larger grant to Holland Christian, as the earnings of the fund are gifted to the school annually. Your contribution to the Foundation will continue to give for generations to come.

In a further effort to keep HCS tuition affordable, a faithful HC supporter has generously offered a matching gift opportunity of $1,000,000 to help grow our Holland Christian Education Foundation, providing support for both today and the future.

For any household committing to a donation from their future estate plan for either 5% or $50,000, a $20,000 matching gift will be given to the Foundation today through this matching gift offer. What an amazing opportunity for wide-spread community participation to help grow the Foundation and support the worthy cause of Christian education for future generations! Because the larger the total Foundation amount, the more each HCS student can be given in a tuition grant!

Ways you can give to the Foundation

Affordability is crucial to the survival of Christian education in the Holland area. The Foundation offers several ways for you to make it a reality. We welcome a variety of gifts including:

Outright gifts

Gifts of cash or appreciated assets (such as securities) are always welcomed by the Foundation and are tax deductible!

Life Income Gifts

Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts can be funded with a gift of cash or an appreciated asset such as stock, and the donor can also have the security of a guaranteed income for life.

Gifts of Life Insurance

Making the Holland Christian Foundation both the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy can leave a lasting legacy that will be of benefit for years to come.

Gifts in a Will

You can leave a legacy for future generations by naming Holland Christian Schools or the Foundation as a beneficiary in your will or estate plan. Friends of Holland Christian who have informed us that Holland Christian is included in their estate plan are recognized as members of the Holland Christian Heritage Society. If Holland Christian is included in your estate plan, we would be very grateful if you would share that information with us so that we might include you in future Heritage Society events.

Join the Holland Christian Heritage Society

Our HC Heritage Society is made up of people who have generously named Holland Christian Schools as a beneficiary in their will. To express our thanks and to build community, we host appreciation events periodically.

Together we might enjoy a catered lunch, an update on Holland Christian Schools, and other special surprises. Invites are mailed out before the events, which are free to everyone in our Heritage Society.

If HC has been listed in your will, or if you intended to do so in the near future, please let us know so we can add you to our Heritage Society and invite you to our special events!
