After graduating from Purdue University and teaching at Grand Rapids Christian High School, I’m thrilled to have joined the Holland Christian family in 2021. My husband Matt and I moved up from Indiana to Holland, MI in 2016, and have loved living here ever since. Matt and I both enjoy gardening in the summer and curling up with a good book in the winter. When not teaching, baking, or chasing the dog, I love to write.

I’m personally inspired by 1 Corinthians 10:31’s exhortation to believers: “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Reading, writing, and thinking critically aren’t just academic pursuits; when done right, they are acts of worship, and I want to help my students honor their Lord with their learning.
