I graduated from Hope College with a BA in Elementary Education and Special Education K-12 with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities. My career began at Hudsonville Public Schools where I served as a 9-12th grade resource room teacher serving students with learning and cognitive impairments, emotional  and other impairments, and autism spectrum disorder. I later earned my MA in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. My husband, Chad, and I have been married since 2006 and are partners at Engedi Church. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, but as our family grew my role shifted from teacher to mom and I transitioned to being home full time during our children’s younger years. We are thankful our three children are at Holland Christian Schools and we have been blessed by the staff and community pouring into their hearts and minds each day. Walking beside students to help them reach their full potential, helping to provide resources and support for families/staff brings me great joy. Nothing is better than helping students discover their purpose and teaching them that Jesus wants to use their gifts to impact His world.
