Febe Gomez
I was born and grew up in Campeche, Mexico. I came to the U.S. with my husband, Enrique, following a pastoral calling he had from a church in Texas, where we served for seven years, and our two older children, Sam and Betsy, were born. I have been an educator since 1989, mainly in Spanish Immersion programs. I graduated from Hope College in 2011 with a B.A. in K-12 Spanish education. Currently I am finishing a graduate degree in English New Language (ENL) through Notre Dame University.
One of my biggest rewards as a teacher is seeing how my students successfully progress in language acquisition. HC has been an important part of academic and faith formation for our family: Our two older children received their entire education at HC and we are doing the same for Raphie, our youngest son. My favorite Bible verse is Luke 2:52: “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men”–and we are no different.
