I graduated from Calvin College with a B.A. in Art Ed and minors in Art and English. I received my Master’s in Ed in 2011, and I have taught Art at HC since 2004. My husband and I live in Hamilton with our two little boys, Evan and Henry. We love being in the country and having space to enjoy nature. I work to inspire an appreciation for the hand of our Creator Artist everywhere. Art also teaches an understanding and respect for how other people see, think, and express themselves all over the globe and throughout history. I want students to succeed and I believe all students can, if they are inspired or if they find something interesting or applicable to their own lives. I hope to make art a part of their lives as they find their place in the world outside school.
