Karen Gorter
I am passionate about education and, in particular, earning the trust of the student in order to help him or her learn and grow as God’s child, especially where there are challenges that make learning more difficult.
I earned a master’s degree in learning disabilities from Calvin College and an undergraduate degree in education from Dordt College. I have taught and worked with students from 3rd through 12th grade and enjoy every age and the engagement at every stage of the process.
My husband, Andrew, and I have lived in West Michigan since our marriage. We have two grown daughters and seven grandchildren. We are members of Harderwyk Ministries where I serve on the Compassionate Care Team and am involved in women’s ministries.
