I graduated from Calvin College in 1998 with a B.A. in education and taught first and second grades for four years. 22 years later I am beyond excited to be back in the classroom and feel this is just where God wants me to be. My husband, Brent and I have three kids: Olivia and Ethan are both graduates of HC and Ava is in the class of 2026. We joined the HC community as a transfer family in 2018 and have been so blessed by the teachers and staff. It brings me true joy to join the HC2 staff as the PE teacher for grades K-2. I also have been helping coach the MS girls swim team for four years. As a family we enjoy anything and everything water! We spend most summer weekends at the cottage tubing, surfing, having campfires and just being together. We also enjoy yard work, grilling and Michigan football. I love to read if I ever sit long enough to get a book out! It is my goal that each child leave my class knowing they are loved and supported all while developing their unique gifts.
