I graduated from Calvin College in 1996 with a degree in music education. Prior to joining Holland Christian, I taught in Grand Rapids, Michigan and in Ontario, California. I have taught 5th-8th band at Holland Christian since 2008. In 2017, I graduated from Western Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Theology. I use this as I teach 8th grade Bible and serve as Worship Assistant at Harderwyk Ministries, Watershed, singing and playing keys, bass and guitar. My wife teaches music at GVSU. My two daughters are also talented performers. I love being a part of the HC community! Psalm 33:3 tells us to “Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” It is a blessing to walk this journey of faith and worship with these students!
