I graduated from Calvin College with a degree in biology. After teaching Outdoor Education in Hawaii, I decided to pursue an education degree. I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a certification in General Education and Special Education. I taught special education for four years at Woodland Park Middle School in Woodland Park, Colorado before accepting a position at Holland Christian High School. I live in Hamilton with my husband, stepson, and twin son and daughter. We spend a lot of our time working on our small 10-acre hobby farm. We also enjoy traveling, gardening, and spending time with family. We are members of Third Christian Reformed Church in Zeeland. I believe God has given us all unique gifts and abilities. As a teacher, I hope to help each student discover these gifts.
