I graduated from Dordt College in 1997 with a B.A. in music education and I completed an M.A. in orchestra conducting in 2006. I began teaching at Sunnyside Christian Schools in Sunnyside, Washington; I also taught at Valley Christian High School in Cerritos, California. I have been at Holland Christian since 2007. My wife Susan and I were married in July of 2003 and have two daughters, Ella and Charlotte, and a son, Abram. I am originally from Iowa. My wife’s family is in Kalamazoo. Aside from music, I enjoy hiking, playing tennis, and reading. God has placed us in a world with the raw materials of music and has given each of us image-bearers the ability to create music. We respond by praising God for this wonderful gift and by using this gift to create music.
