Rose Park Families,

November is a wonderful time to pause, reflect, and give thanks for God’s goodness and faithfulness in our lives. As we practice gratitude this month, we are also focusing on our discipleship practice of Kingdom Bringing. Jesus calls us to seek God’s Kingdom first by inviting Him to lead every part of our lives. As students follow Jesus each day, they can help bring His Kingdom into their classrooms, homes, friendships, and communities through their words and actions. May this month be filled with grateful hearts and meaningful opportunities to reflect Jesus’ love wherever God has placed us!

Blessings to you,

Katelyn Roskamp

Announcements

Student Life & Discipleship

In October, we focused on our discipleship practice of wisdom seeking. We learned that God is the source of all wisdom and that we can look to Him for guidance as we make wise choices. In November, we will focus on order discovery. We will explore how God created the world with purpose and design and how His good order brings peace and helps us make sense of the world around us!

Visitor & Volunteer Clearance

If you will be in and/or around Rose Park this year, we ask that you register in our new Guest Management Service. Doing this ahead of time will prevent delays as you are on your way to the classroom, field trips, etc!

Welcome Walk

At Holland Christian, we believe that choosing a school is about more than academics, it is about finding a community where children are known, loved, and encouraged to grow in faith, wonder, and learning. The Welcome Walk is designed to give families an authentic glimpse into the heart of our school.

Through this interactive experience, families are invited to explore classrooms alongside their children, meet the teachers who will guide and nurture them, and experience the culture that shapes daily life within our school community. As families move through the building/playscape, engage in hands-on activities, and connect with staff, they gain a deeper understanding of our commitment to Christ-centered learning, meaningful relationships, and joyful discovery.

Time: 2:15 – 3:00pm

  • Monday, November 9 – Forest School: Cedar Creek
  • Thursday, November 12 – Forest School: Cabins
  • Monday, November 16 – Rose Park
  • Thursday, November 19 – South Side

Open to ALL families at ALL of our campuses to explore any campus you’re curious about. Parents and children walk the campus open house style and meet with teachers to help guide decision making for enrollment next year. Please RSVP for the event of your choosing here.

Conferences: Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to connect and have meaningful conversations during parent-teacher conferences! We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you as we support your children’s learning and growth. A big thank-you to our parent board as well for blessing our teachers with delicious meals during these long evenings!

Thanksgiving Break

There will be no school Wednesday, November 25-Friday, November 27 so families can celebrate Thanksgiving. Enjoy this special time together as a family celebrating our great God, and the many blessings in our lives.

Weather Appropriate Clothing

As the mornings have become much colder, please send your child with weather appropriate clothing for each day at school. This is especially helpful for recess and outdoor learning. Additionally, it’s a great time to practice independence in getting dressed in winter gear, and zipping coats for our younger students.
