For The Beauty Of The Earth
For the beauty of the earth,
for the glory of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
over and around us lies.
Christ, our Lord, to you we raise
this, our hymn of grateful praise.
For the wonder of each hour
of the day and of the night,
hill and vale and tree and flower,
sun and moon and stars of light
For the joy of human love,
brother, sister, parent, child,
friends on earth, and friends above,
for all gentle thoughts and mild
For yourself, best gift divine,
to the world so freely given,
agent of God’s grand design:
peace on earth and joy in heaven
Dear Forest Friends,
Whether it be the glittery gold canopy above us on a woodland hike in Michigan or the rolling grey clouds that majestically blanket our land, God’s glory is on display in a special way in autumn. Rest assured we will be absorbing God’s beauty and providential care with your children this month. These observations lead us to a heart of deep gratitude for all that God is and for who we are in His care. Our prayer for you, too, is that God’s love would reach deeply into your heart and surround you in care and assurance of his saving presence.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Thank you to each family that came to conferences this fall! We love partnering with you and so appreciate the time you took to talk about your student.
Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming back to Pine Ridge the first week of December! Keep your eyes open for an email with signup options to help as well as the hours it will be open soon.
Dress for the Season
Cooler weather is upon us! Please make sure your student has all the gear they need to keep them warm (and dry!)
Please remember that we do have a 24 hour policy for any fever, vomiting or diarrhea. For colds and coughs, please use your discretion as we know these things can linger.
2nd Grade Lost and Found
There is a table outside the office at Pine Ridge that is growing! If your student is missing something, please check it out.
There will be no school Wednesday, November 22-Friday, November 24 so families can celebrate Thanksgiving. Enjoy this special time together as a family celebrating our great God, and the many blessings in our lives.
Please call 616.820.3505 or email the school office EVEN IF you have let your student’s teacher know any time before 8:30am to let us know each day your child will be absent. You may leave a voicemail at any time and it will be checked in the morning when the office opens.
