For The Beauty Of The Earth

For the beauty of the earth,
for the glory of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
over and around us lies.

Refrain:
Christ, our Lord, to you we raise
this, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the wonder of each hour
of the day and of the night,
hill and vale and tree and flower,
sun and moon and stars of light

For the joy of human love,
brother, sister, parent, child,
friends on earth, and friends above,
for all gentle thoughts and mild

For yourself, best gift divine,
to the world so freely given,
agent of God’s grand design:
peace on earth and joy in heaven

Dear Rose Park Friends,

Whether it be the glittery gold canopy above us on a woodland hike in Michigan or the rolling grey clouds that majestically blanket our land, God’s glory is on display in a special way in autumn. Rest assured we will be absorbing God’s beauty and providential care with your children this month. These observations lead us to a heart of deep gratitude for all that God is and for who we are in His care. Our prayer for you, too, is that God’s love would reach deeply into your heart and surround you in care and assurance of his saving presence.

All joy,

Miska & Katelyn

Announcements

Fall Family Fest Cancelled

Friday, October 27 was going to be the date of our fun Fall Family Festival here at Rose Park; however, due to the weather and the very muddy playground, we unfortunately are canceling the event, and postponing it to a spring event on April 18, 2024. We are deeply grateful to our Rose Park Parent Board for all their amazing work on this event, however, and will look forward to all hanging out with you all in the spring!

Thank You!

A sincere thank you to the Parent Board, and many of you, for bringing in delicious food to refuel teachers during parent/teacher conferences. The meal was greatly enjoyed and appreciated!

Conferences – Thank you!

Thank you to each family that took the time to come for parent-teacher conferences. It was a great time to have a conversation about your student and how we can work together. We love watching our students thrive and partnering with you is one of the best ways to do it, so thank you!

Thanksgiving Break

There will be no school Wednesday, November 22-Friday, November 24 so families can celebrate Thanksgiving. Enjoy this special time together as a family celebrating our great God, and the many blessings in our lives.

Safety & Security

Holland Christian is implementing consistent security measures for all K-12 students. Now that school has been underway for six weeks, we are asking parent/student drop-off and goodbye to take place at the front door. By October 9, we hope that all children will be able to navigate their way from the front door to their classroom. Teachers and staff will be readily available to support and cheer our independent students to their lockers and classrooms. This measure is important so that we do not have unknown or unexpected visitors accessing our buildings. This safety measure is consistent throughout all of our buildings, though preschool will continue their typical drop-off and pick-up with parents’ entry at both Rose Park and South Side. You’re still welcome inside as needed, please stop in at the office for a check-in and name badge. Thank you for your understanding. If you have questions or concerns, please connect with Miska at mrynsburger@hollandchristian.org or Katelyn at kroskamp@hollandchristian.org
